Kolhapur / Ratnagiri, Sep 23 (UNI) NCP (SP) president, Sharad Pawar said on Monday that talks on allocation of seats between Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance partners including Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress and NCP (SP) for upcoming Maharashtra Assembly election will conclude soon.
Addressing a press conference this afternoon at Chiplun in Ratnagiri district, he said that talks on allocation of seats between MVA alliance partners are at final stages and will conclude soon.
He further said, "our endeavour is to give a progressive, viable alternative to people of Maharashtra in the interests of the state."
With extending support to Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil, the NCP (SP) chief however made it clear that the members of other communities should get justice.
On provocative statements against the Muslim community by BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, Pawar said that it was very wrong and suggested him (Nitesh Rane) not to make such statements for the good of society.
Asked about his reaction on 'CM Majhi Ladki Bahin' yojana, he said that the money spent on this yojana is of the state government and not of any particular person.
With expressing displeasure on current state of Mumbai-Goa national highway, the NCP supremo said, "If our (MVA) government comes to power, we will launch a high-level inquiry into the corrupt practices which allegedly took place in these works."
On issue of Shree Tirupati Balaji temple's 'prasad' controversy, Pawar demanded a stern action against those found guilty.
Pawar was on a day's tour to Chiplun today.
